For those of you who are fans of Carnaval, in Los Gigantes this will be the weekend of Friday 19th Feb 2016. If you haven’t already booked and want to, then don’t delay as space is fast running out!

Please note that head office will be closed today, Monday 10th August, due to maintenance and repair work. Resorts will have limited access to management systems.

We are very sad to announce the departure of a long standing owner. Many owners will be familiar with the name or have even met him and considered him a friend, as many of you do after meeting at The Harbour Club. So it is with great sadness that we inform you that Bill Baker died peacefully in hospital on the 5^th July 2015 after a short illness.

Bill would have been 92 in September.

He was one of the original owners of The Harbour Club, who visited 3 times a year, in the past with his late wife Joyce and later on his own.

He was a lively character, well known at the club and around the village.

He will be sadly missed by all the staff and owners who knew him.

Goodbye Bill. Enjoy your rest, you’ve earned it.

Last month we undertook work to replace the wooden decking around the pool. The new decking was fitted by an external company and is a new plastic product, ensuring quality fitting, durability and with a good guarantee.

As regular visitors to the Canary Islands will know, February/March is carnival time! The biggest and perhaps most important one with lots of history is no doubt Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s which is generally followed by smaller carnivals around the various villages. Los Gigantes is no different and the “fiesta” is popular, with some of our members getting into the spirit of things with fancy dress.

After replacing the terrace furniture for the Elite apartments earlier this year and purchasing new sunbeds for the pools, it was time to renew the garden furniture for the Suites. Take a look at the replacements here, the sturdy exterior furniture should last for a good few years!

Don’t worry if the table looks a bit “odd” – we do get the occasional rain in Fuerteventura despite its brilliant climate; yours truly had been pestering for photos and the table was still drying out!
