April showers in the Canary Islands?

April showers are not something you would associate with the Canary Islands or Spain, but even in Spanish there is a phrase “En Abril, aguas mil” which would translate to more or less our English version of “April Showers” and showers were what we had on Saturday.

In fact, it rained virtually all day Saturday… but don’t fret! Fortunately, Sunday was a beautiful day and yours truly was able to spend the afternoon on La Tejita beach – whilst Teide sported a snowy peak. At The Harbour Club in Los Gigantes, guests were able to lay by the pool and enjoy the weather. Today, as evidenced by this photo from just a few moments ago, is no different. And to top it all, the Easter rush hasn’t begun yet, so there are sunbeds aplenty! Another day in paradise!
